Bruckner was a Hollywood Californian born to Hungarian parents and Russian mothers who had divorced. Her paternal grandmother was German. The couple were married in Hungary and relocated into the U.S. in 1984 through the refugee camp located in Italy. She is the sister of two brothers and have two sisters.
